Funny, steamy and sweet story about Kara and a mystery man. Kara has just started a job at the Pleasure Chest and while it may seem like a waste of her college degrees, it’s the job she was offered and she’s going to make the best of it. She’s a nerd for research, so she’s been doing her homework on the products they sell, but when a handsome, apparently wealthy customer comes in and requests that she take home a specific toy to do some hands-on research for him, she’s not sure what to think. Kara’s definitely curious. Curious about both the man who just randomly bought a stranger a sex toy and about the toys themselves, she does what he asks and comes to work the next day with a report for him.This all takes place before she even knows his name. They are just insta-attracted to each other. He eventually takes her out for a very stimulating (literally) dinner date, but then he just ghosts on her. After weeks of mooning over him and moping around, her friends convince her that she’ll never see him again and that she needs to try to move on. He may have seemed like the perfect man, but the perfect man would answer her calls and texts. Not vanish.Will Kara’s mystery man come back before she moves on with another man? Can she get him out of her heart long enough to start dating again? Will he be able to explain away his sudden and long absence with no communication?Since this is a story about sex toys, I presume I shouldn’t have to mention that there is graphic, hot and descriptive sex in this book! ïŠ Fun and dirty blush-worthy quick read!Standalone. HEA. No cliffhanger.
I haven't read many of Penny's books but this has made me rethink that! I absolutely loved it. It was hot and 'educational' to a certain degree. It makes me want to expand on my knowledge of toys. Back to the book. It was well written and I loved the characters as well. Jet, what can I say besides he is absolutely delicious. I liked that Kara wasn't a ditz like some others. She didn't immediately give in when wronged either. I liked that she was smart as well as sexy. The sex toy aspect of this book was refreshing. All in all, a good read that I would recommend.
Kara has hit a rough patch but things are looking up when she lands a job at the Pleasure Chest. Selling sex isn't exactly her area of expertise but she is a fast learner. Jet is a customer that is really concerned about product performance. So concerned that he sends Kara home with toys every night for some hands on testing. Jet and Kara are about to become sex toy experts. Is it in the name of science or love? Quick, steamy read with our friends from the Pleasure Chest!
This is this authors best book yet! It was amazingly sweet and sexy. I really felt like it was a collaboration with A Pleasure Chest as it had different toys and there uses. It was well written and informative. I loved the story line and the characters were great. I really think that it was the perfect story to show case this authors talent and explore some new experiences. Fantastic, highly recommended.
I really enjoyed Kara and Jets story. The introduction of the sex toys gave the intimate scenes that little bit of something extra and pulled this book apart from all the others in its class. So many times even if you are reading different authors the story's just blend together. Penny did a great job setting this one apart. I love her stories and can't wait to read what's next.
This was a fun story set in the same world as Lip Service. There wasn't any character overlap that I could tell so this is a standalone book and you don't need to read the first one first. They both feature The Pleasure Chest as an important setting. :)I enjoyed this one. It was a little unrealistic near the end but it was hot and fun and I laughed.
I really liked this book. It had a cute hot original story and I would have given 5 stars except for his big "reveal" for not calling which was kind of a nothing, anti climactic excuse and she was a bit too forgiving. She could have made him work a little harder, but it is a shorter story so...otherwise it was fun and entertaining. Will ways read MS. W.
This book is so freaking sexy and hot! From Start and finish was great. A Sexy Strangers walks in and says try this.... who can say no to that. Kara sure didn't! The chemistry was out of control in this book. Absolutely loved every page in this book. Penny book are so hot every time.
